ZoomInfo Free Trial and Free Plan: What You Actually Get (2026)
Updated 9 April 2026
ZoomInfo does not offer a true self-serve free trial. What they call a "free trial" is a curated demo during a sales call. Here is what you actually get and which alternatives let you test for free.
How the ZoomInfo "Free Trial" Actually Works
Step 1: Sales Call Required
You cannot access ZoomInfo without speaking to a sales rep first. The trial request form on zoominfo.com routes you to a demo call, not a self-serve login. This is intentional so the rep can control the experience.
Step 2: Curated Data Preview
During the demo, the rep searches for contacts in your ICP and shows results. This data may be curated to look impressive. You do not get independent access to test with your own search criteria and workflow.
Step 3: Limited Access Period
Some reps offer a 14-day trial after the demo. This is a limited access period with restricted credits. If you do not cancel within 14 days, it auto-converts to a paid annual contract at $14,995+ per year.
Warning: If you sign up for any ZoomInfo trial, set a cancellation reminder immediately. The 14-day window can lapse quickly, and the auto-renewal clause applies to trial conversions.
ZoomInfo Lite (Community Edition)
ZoomInfo Lite is a very limited free version. In exchange for sharing your company's contact data (email connectors), you get basic access to ZoomInfo's database. Here is what you get and what you do not.
What You Get
- ✓Basic contact search
- ✓Limited contact reveals
- ✓Company profile viewing
What You Do Not Get
- ✗Intent data
- ✗Bulk exports
- ✗CRM integration
- ✗Advanced filters
- ✗API access
Note: ZoomInfo Lite requires you to share your company's email contact data, which raises privacy concerns for many organizations.
Free Alternatives Comparison

Apollo's free tier is the most generous for actual testing. 50 credits/month with self-serve access lets you evaluate data quality for your ICP before spending anything.
